How to Measure Your Artwork
Firstly you need to measure your artwork from edge to edge in millimeters and enter the exact size in the width and height boxes provided above.
To convert inches to millimeters simply multiply by 25.4. For instance 20inches would be 20 x 25.4 = 508mm. 24.5inches would be 24.5 x 25.4 = 622mm. Don't worry about anything after the decimal point when doing your calculation.
If your artwork/photo/print measures 800mm x 600 you would enter 800mm x 600mm in the height and width boxes provided in the design studio. If your image has a border and you would like to include the border then you need to measure the whole of the artwork including the border and enter your sizes in the boxes provided. Your frame will then be made to accommodate the whole of your artwork.
If you would like more than one of the same frame you will have the opportunity to change the total once you get to the shopping cart. Remember all our prices INCLUDE VAT.
1. Always use a proper ruler or a metal tape measure to measure your work for the most acurate results.
2. When referring to frame sizes we ALWAYS refer to the inside dimensions at the back of the frame, or the glazing size.
3. Always double check your sizes in the checkout before proceeding with your order.

Here are a few things to consider when selecting a picture frame from The Picture Gallery and Framing Centre.
Where are you going to hang it?
What colour wall is it going on?
Would it look better with a picture mount?
What colour frames do you already have in your room?
What colour is your furniture?
Is it being hung opposite a window? If so, think about having anti-glare glazing.
Is your room modern or traditional?
You have the choice of 4 different glazing options.
Clear Acrylic Glazing: 1.8mm crystal clear, premium quality acrylic glazing. Visually identical to glass, lightweight and shatter-resistant.
Anti Glare Acrylic Glazing: 1.8mm anti-glare premium quality acrylic glazing. Coated on one side to reduce glare and to help eliminate reflection. Not recommended if you choose a double mount as it can take the sharpness away from your image.
Glass (Collection only): 2mm float glass – Only choose this option if you are able to collect from our factory, or shop in Bedford, Bedfordshire (there is no delivery option in the checkout for orders containing glass).
No Glazing: Choose this option when no glazing is required for items such as oil painting, canvas etc.
Note: Your acrylic glazing will arrive with a protective film on both sides which you will need to remove before framing your artwork. Don't be alarmed if the protective film is blue as once removed your glazing will be crystal clear.
Picture frames and multi photo frames ordered on our website are supplied with cord and fixings for the back of the frame as standard. We also offer a range of optional extras to purchase for your picture framing requirements. These include items such as kraft tape which we recommend using to seal the back of your picture frame once you have fitted your artwork. This will give your picture frame a professional finish and keep any little insects at bay.
You will also find picture hooks for hard and plaster board walls to enable you to hang your framed artwork, and z-clips which are the simplest and neatest way to hold a stretched canvas or oil paintings into a frame.
